Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish |
This weeks topic is anticipated releases for the rest of the year (July onwards), I haven't been the most regular with my Waiting on Wednesday so I haven't really talked about may of these books yet. These are in the order they are (hopefully) going to be released, so here we go:
The Beauty of Darkness (The Remnant Chronicles #3) by Mary E. Pearson
Expected publication: August 2nd 2016 by Henry Holt and Co.

This is one of those series where I have read the first book and loved it (see my review here) but when the second book came out I decided I wanted to wait for the series to be complete before I read on. So I am excited for this one to come out so I can read books 2 and 3 and finish this series.

Months ago I did a Waiting on Wednesday post for this book (see it here) and I was lucky enough to get an ARC for this book and I loved it. Such a good book and I will post my review for it nearer the release date. I can't wait for the rest of the world to read this book and hopefully enjoy it just as much as I did.

Empire of Storms (Throne of Glass #5) by Sarah J. Maas
Expected publication: September 6th 2016 by Bloomsbury
I have loved every book in this series (and all of Sarah J. Maas's books generally) so I am excited about this one too - of course.
A Shadow Bright and Burning (Kingdom on Fire #1) by Jessica Cluess
Expected publication: September 20th 2016 by Random House
I have actually done a Waiting on Wednesday post for this book just the other week (check out why I am waiting for this book here). I love the cover for this book and the blurb makes we want to dive right into reading it.
Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco
Expected publication: September 20th 2016 by Jimmy Patterson
It was the cover of this book that drew me to it, I just love that green and the combination of the beautiful dress and the dagger. It sounds like a Victorian murder mystery with a upper-class woman doing things society think's she shouldn't, and I am all for that.
Frost Like Night (Snow Like Ashes #3) by Sara Raasch
Expected publication: September 20th 2016 by Balzer + Bray
Bright Smoke, Cold Fire by Rosamund Hodge
Expected publication: September 27th 2016 by Balzer + Bray

I must admit that I am not the biggest fan of Hodge's other books, but the synopsis for this one sounds so good I am looking forward to giving her another try.

Nemesis by Anna Banks
Expected publication: October 4th 2016 by Feiwel And Friends
This just sound like a good YA Fantasy. I haven't read any of Anna Banks work before so I look forward to discovering her writing style and hopefully enjoying it.
Bound by Blood and Sand by Becky Allen
Expected publication: October 11th 2016 by Delacorte Press

Again it was the cover for this book that drew my attention but the line 'By law, she is bound by a curse to obey every order given her, no matter how vile.' from the synopsis is what has me anticipating this book's release, it reminds me a bit of the genie in the lamp idea.

The Fate of the Tearling (The Queen of the Tearling #3) by Erika Johansen
Expected publication: November 29th 2016 by Harper
I have read the first book in the series earlier in the year and I really enjoyed it (see my review here), since then I have heard that the second book is even better. I can't wait for this book to come out so I can pick up book two and read it back-to-back with this third book.

I have just thought of another one I need to add to this list, and that is:
A Torch Against The Night by Sabaa Tahir
Expected publication: August 30th 2016 by Razorbill

I LOVED the first book in this series and I can't wait to dive back into this brutal world and see how these characters survive.
