Partials (The Partials Sequence, #1) By Dan Wells

Blurb (From Goodreads)

Humanity is all but extinguished after a war with Partials—engineered organic beings identical to humans—has decimated the population. Reduced to only tens of thousands by a weaponized virus to which only a fraction of humanity is immune, the survivors in North America have huddled together on Long Island. But sixteen-year-old Kira is determined to find a solution. As she tries desperately to save what is left of her race, she discovers that that the survival of both humans and Partials rests in her attempts to answer questions about the war's origin that she never knew to ask.

4/4 Stars

An amazing read. I left this book on the shelf for far too long. I started this book because I need a change from what I have been reading recently and I have not regretted it.

The main character in this book is such  a natural leader and she is so strong willed, love it! I have to say that there is an amazing world created in this book and loved the character building. I also loved that so much happened in this book it and moved quickly.

The twist happened so late in the book I had dismissed that possibility earlier in the book, thinking that the author would have put more hints in if that was the case (OH how hard it is to talk of without a spoiler!!) but I have to say the reveal of the twist was written so well.

Great book, so action packed, well worth the read.
